Welcome to Cedar Drive Family Dentistry located in the beautiful town of St. Stephen, SC. Here, we strive to not only make you feel at home while in our office, but we also take great pride in giving our patients the best in quality dental treatment!
We accept almost all insurances, including Medicaid for children and adults, and are in network with several. For those patients that do not have dental insurance, we offer a Dental Health Plan.

OUR SERVICES
Routine Exams
Routine exams and digital images are done at least once a year. We take pride in preventitive dentistry and our detailed exams. It is during these exams, that you will be able to speak with Dr. Buchanan about any dental questions or concerns you may have.
Dental Hygiene
A normal dental hygiene visit is recommended every six months. Our hygienist, Kim, does a great job making sure your cleanings are customized to fit your lifestyle and dental needs. She is gentle and truly cares for our patients and their oral health.
Dental Fillings
Using the top of the line materials, we strive to give our patients the most natural looking fillings as possible. All of our fillings, unless requested otherwise, are tooth colored and some can be done using technology that does not require the use of a dental drill.
Dental Prosthetics
When dental prosthetics are needed, we work with a local lab to ensure you get fast and quality work. Dental prosthetics include things like: dentures, partials, bridges, vaneers, implants, and inlays/onlays.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is a costmetic procedure we offer to enhance the whiteness of your smile. If you would like a brighter smile, teeth whitening may be for you! Custom trays are made, and in the privacy of your own home, you can use our professional grade bleaching agent to achieve the best results.
OUR STAFF
Dr. Andrew Buchanan grew up in the Washington D.C. area. He attended the University of South Carolina and went to the University of Maryland for his dental degree. Since 2010, Dr. Buchanan has practiced from Texas to Summerville and has found St. Stephen, SC to be home for him and his wife Jennifer. He is excited to now be a part of this community! When not practicing dentistry, he and his wife enjoy visiting downtown Charleston or relaxing at home with their pets.
Laura, our newest member, is Cedar Drive Family Dentistry's office manager. With over ten years in the dental field, she has quite a bit of knowledge on how to make each visit with us an enjoyable experience! A native of Moncks Corner, she loves the area and takes great pleasure in helping people in her community. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and horses.
Kim is our hygienist. She has been with Cedar Drive Family Dentistry since 2002. Growing up in the area she loves the family friendly enviornment that our practice provides. She enjoys keeping up with our patients and does a great job creating custom hygiene plans based on each patient's individual needs. Kim enjoys helping her daughter participate in pageants and spending time with her husband.
Mrs. Almetta, our receptionist, has one of the most familiar faces around town! She has been with Cedar Drive Family Dentistry for over 18 years and takes great pride in helping our patients however she can. Growing up in the area, she has a passion for St. Stephen! When not working, Almetta enjoys gardening, participating in activities at church, and visiting with her daughter.
